We read yesterday, with absolute horror, that in Scotland 500 deer had been rounded up by helicopter, many of the hinds being in calf, to be shot by waiting guns in a massive cull, causing dreadful injuries and painful deaths.
There are to be another 1000 rounded up and shot.
When these actions were questioned the reply was that the helicopter was used to "steady " the deer. Yet Hunting with hounds has been banned in Scotland because it is classed as cruel !
The horrors brought so many painful memories of the barbaric round up of sheep and cattle by these methods in the FMD.
Have there been no lessons learned and once again where are the RSPCA ?
