Source of figures was PQ 2164, compiled December 2001, and released  to Peter Ainsworth January 2002. (In extract copied below, I couldn't delete the non relevant information - sorry!)
 
There were 15 so-called IPs, of which 13 were tested.  Only 2 were positive.
 
There were an additional 3 SOS, all tested, and all negative.
 
There were also 200 DCs, including contiguous, 3kms, and other dangerous contacts.  None of these were tested.
 
Total number of premises slaughtered out is therefore 218 (but these related not only to the 2 true IPs, but also to the other 13 so called IPs, as well as the SOS premises, etc).

220 Dangerous Contact cases (of which 120 Contiguous Premises cases) and 54 Slaughter on Suspicion cases were sampled and later returned positive results. These cases are included in the Infected Premises number as appropriate to their current status.
