Between April and July 2001, filmmaker Rex Pike lived and worked amongst the people of Dumfries and Galloway as they battled with foot and mouth disease. On behalf of Dumfries and Galloway Libraries, Information and Archives, he worked on his own, with unique access to the people and areas involved. The video was made from the forty hours of material shot for the archive and was first shown by BBC Scotland on 26th March 2002. I have attached an image of the video cover for your information. We are keen to promote the video as widely as possible and it can be purchased direct from the following address at a cost of £7.99 + 84p P+P.
