Extract:"I am VERY, VERY ANGRY. My life has been wrecked this last year, my professional future removed, my savings vanishing. No Public Inquiry? We MUST have one; there have been too many lies, too much covering-up."

I am a cull protester, and saved my sheep with the help of 35 supporters, a solicitor, and government incompetence. I lived in isolation and fear for 2 months, never knowing when MAFF would turn up or what they would do. My sheep were eventually blood-tested and found clear. Now I and my fellow cull protesters are being blamed for spreading the disease. How could we? No-one round here ever had it. And now the government is trying to make it easier for themselves to kill my animals by passing a law that removes all my rights to defend myself against their lies.

I am VERY, VERY ANGRY. My life has been wrecked this last year, my professional future removed, my savings vanishing. No Public Inquiry? We MUST have one; there have been too many lies, too much covering-up. It has been obvious from the start that there is something more than getting rid of the disease. If that was the agenda, you simply wouldn't do it like this. We need to know the hidden agenda."

"I am a freelance pilot with 20 sheep in the Forest of Dean. I stopped looking for work last February when foot-and-mouth, followed by MAFF, spread about the country. MY work is seasonal - if you don't find work by April or May, that's about it for the year, and that's what happened to me. I haven't worked for a year, and after 11th September, there are plenty of younger, more current pilots than I on the market, and it's looking unlikely that I will be able to work as a pilot again. My main comfort is that I still have my little flock here, eating me out of house and home. I might get a job this year - am working on it, but if not, France is looking more and more appealing.

I will be at the High Court tomorrow in my Winnie t-shirt!
